According to a Tuesday report by Fox News, the Biden administration in the United States is providing Pakistan with a $500,000 grant to advance English language proficiency with an emphasis on transgender adolescents.
The grant will fund professional development courses for English language teachers from non-mainstream institutions, inexperienced Pakistani English language teachers, transgender youth, and Afghan teachers, students, and young professionals living in Pakistan.
It is one of the US State Department’s initiatives to support Pakistani youth in their efforts to better participate in the global community and prepare them for success in the workplace.
For implementation of intense professional development courses for transgender youth in Pakistan between the ages of 16 and 25, the programme component that focuses on transgender youth is soliciting proposals from candidates for a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $75,000
